How We Research Collegiate Gaming

We explain the organisational work behind university esports: the decisions that help campus communities participate responsibly across academic cycles and borders.

01

Four questions, not one global system

Our guides are written for student organisers, university staff and players who need to make practical decisions. We separate campus governance, league entry, development and international participation because an answer in one area does not settle the others.

A league can accept a roster without approving its university branding. A university can recognise a club without awarding academic credit. A successful team can receive an invitation without having travel funding. Keeping those boundaries visible is central to our editorial approach.

02

Primary sources come first

For binding requirements, readers should begin with the current competition rulebook, publisher guidance, institutional policy or government source responsible for the decision. Our links point to those organisations so readers can locate the latest applicable documents.

The 2026 planning edition is a framework, not a claim that every linked page has been audited for a current season. We avoid publishing universal grade thresholds, roster limits or scholarship figures where the underlying requirement varies. When evaluating a specific rule, record the organiser, jurisdiction, season, title, document version and date of confirmation.

University examples illustrate different institutional contexts. They are not rankings, endorsements or evidence of an active opportunity. Contextual photographs do not identify named teams or establish that a university participates in a particular event.

03

Independence and limits

vaultmangofjell.asia is an independent information publication operated by Vaultmangofjell Education Media Ltd. We are not a league, university admissions service, scholarship broker or team registration platform. We are not affiliated with the institutions, organisers or publishers discussed.

Our material is educational. It does not replace professional legal, immigration, medical, insurance or financial advice. Organisers and institutions retain authority over their own requirements. A link to an external site is a research reference, not an assurance about that organisation’s services.

04

Corrections should be traceable

If a passage is unclear or a source has moved, tell us which page and section need attention. Include an official source, the relevant jurisdiction and the season or date where possible. Avoid sharing student records or private disciplinary material.

We assess corrections against the scope of the guide and the authority of the source. We do not resolve individual eligibility disputes or promise a response from a league. Use the enquiry worksheet to prepare an editorial message, then send it through your own email application.
